AN EVENING WITH GEOFF MILLER OBE
Monday 23rd March 2026
Geoff Miller OBE former England Test & One Day international & Chief England Selector.
Remember the heady days of English cricket, when we were the number one test side in the world and our one-day teams were predicted to post scores of 500? That success is in no small part thanks for Geoff Miller.
Geoff debuted for Derbyshire in July 1973, by 1976 he was rewarded by being named Cricket Writers’ Club Young Cricketer of the Year on the back of a season that saw him picked for England in the Test series against an ominous West Indies side that included the likes of Sir Viv Richards, Clive Lloyd CBE, Gordon Greenidge MBE, Michael Holding and Andy Roberts.
Geoff became an England stalwart over the next eight years alongside Sir Ian Botham, Mike Gatting OBE, Graham Gooch OBE, David Gower OBE and Bob Willis MBE.
As Chief National Selector, Geoff oversaw an era of massive success, including winning three successive Ashes series and reaching the pinnacle of the world Test rankings. He's also credited with the selections of key players including Graeme Swann and Jonathan Trott.
And now Geoff is coming to our little pub in Norfolk. As usual the ballot system is in place. To apply for one of the 50 tickets priced at £40 per person please complete the form below.
